Total War: Shogun 2 Animatic

This early animatic for our production of Sega's 'Total War: Shogun 2' gives some insight as to our studio's production methodology at an early stage. Having had our written treatment approved by the client, our team will create a rough blockout of the piece using basic animation. Often much quicker than using traditional storyboard techniques, this process allows for quick turnaround for client approval and is an excellent way of getting across our creative team's ideas.

The way of revenge lies in simply forcing
one's way into a place and being cut down. There is no dishonour in this. By thinking that you must definitely kill your enemy you
will run out of time. By considering things like how many men the enemy has, time piles up; in the end you will give
up. No matter if the enemy has thousands of men, there is fulfillment in simply standing them off and being
decisively determined to cut them all down from first to the last man. You will finish the greater part of it.

This video shows the process that we created to generate our new series of 2-in-1 challenge puzzles.

Each puzzle is a one of a kind and can be assembled in two ways. First, as a large rectangular puzzle with embedded color pieces. Second, as a small circular puzzle composed solely of the colored pieces.

This is a further adaptation of our Generative Jigsaws Project which you can read about here: n-e-r-v-o-u-s.com/projects/puzzles/

A Valsa Do Pódio : 400m

I was invited by directors Daniel Hanai and Bruno Carneiro to create some animations for their short documentary "A Valsa Do Pódio" ("The Podium Waltz"). The movie tells the story of Terezinha Guilhermina, a visually impaired brazilian runner who, with the help of her guide Guilherme Santana, won two gold medals in the London 2012 Paralympics, and since then is the world record holder in the 100 meters sprint.

This scene shows one of the most dramatic moments in the whole Paralympics, the 400 meters T12 final, where Guilherme was injured and fell down, after which Terezinha decided to stop.

The animation is a mixture between watercolor textures, frame by frame animation on both paper and digital, and compositing.

Year: 2013. Please watch the other animations I created for the movie: vimeo.com/80094046

Cast:Daniel Bruson, Francisco Beraldo, Flavio Bernardes de Paula and Leandro Franci
